Originally from Peterborough, Ontario, Dave Pitt began his lifelong journey of ministry as his parish organist. He has focused his writing and teaching on Christian initiation, the Eucharist, liturgical music, and the liturgical year – especially as these connect to living lives of service. He holds a Master of Arts in liturgical music from St. John’s University, Minnesota, and a PhD in liturgical studies from the University of Notre Dame, Indiana. He currently teaches liturgical and sacramental theology at Loras College, Iowa.
